What Is the EDGE Grant?
EDGE is Enterprise Singapore’s activity-based business grant. It launched on 30 September 2026, bringing together support previously provided through PSG, EDG and MRA. Those schemes closed to new applications after 29 September; earlier submissions and ongoing projects continue under their original arrangements.
EDGE is not another name for the Enterprise Development Grant. It is not an acronym, and applications should follow current activity requirements rather than EDG’s former three-pillar structure.
Who Qualifies?
The baseline requirements include Singapore business registration and at least 30% Singapore citizen or permanent resident ownership. Further conditions depend on the selected activity. Check the official activity page and BizSG before proceeding.
How Much Funding Is Available?
EDGE generally offers up to 50% support for SMEs and 30% for non-SMEs, with higher rates for internationalisation and sustainability activities.
The overall annual grant cap is S$100,000 per company, refreshed on 1 April. Within it, a S$30,000 sub-cap applies to specified digital solutions, enterprise systems and equipment. Individual activity limits still apply; the overall ceiling is not a website subsidy.
What Can Ecommerce Projects Receive?
The E-Commerce – Online Shop (B2C) activity supports consumer-facing online sales with secure payment processing. SMEs can receive up to 50%, capped at S$2,500, against qualifying costs capped at S$5,000. Supported software costs are limited to 12 months; GST and maintenance are excluded.
Businesses must operate in Singapore, implement the solution locally, and not have previously applied for support for that solution. Work and payments must not begin before application submission.
General web design, brochure websites and bespoke development are not automatically covered. Match the quotation to a supported solution before budgeting around a grant.
How to Apply and Claim
- Select a pre-approved solution through IMDA’s SMEs Go Digital programme.
- Obtain a quotation and prepare the required cost-savings projection.
- Build a matching package and generate its reference ID using Corppass.
- Apply through the Business Grants Portal before starting work or paying.
- Follow the approved offer, complete delivery and retain claim evidence.
Your company must submit and manage its application; third-party companies cannot do so on its behalf. EDGE reimburses approved expenses after completion and full payment.
How Calvin Seng Helps
A useful first discussion should establish what your website needs to achieve: direct sales, customer enquiries, bookings or operational improvements. These objectives guide the design and development scope.
Ask Calvin Seng to explain the proposed solution listing, package components, implementation plan and quotation. Confirm the exact activity and support available before treating any package price as grant-funded.
For claim preparation, request clear invoices and delivery records, while keeping your company’s authorised representative responsible for submissions. Approval remains with the relevant agency.
